Joan Ruguru Kimani is a student doctor at Maseno University School of Medicine and her love for Parenting has attracted the attention of many given the fact that she has no child yet. Kimani has mentioned her love for children and what she intends to do after she finishes her course at the University.

The former Mary Hill Girls high school student had a dream to be a doctor while she was growing up and she seems to be living that dream now that she is in Med school. Kimani did emerge among the top girls in the Country when she finished her KCSE in 2012 earning her a place to study Medicine in Maseno University.

Ruguru Kimani is currently a 4th Year student and her passion for children has shown after she was earlier interviewed on NTV’s Better Living show hosted by Kobi Kihara in the middle of last month. She expressed her love for babies and why she was excited about parenting even though she is yet to have one of her own. You can watch the interview here https://youtu.be/aEZD6X-yt7E. She has also been featured in Ureport segment on standardmedia.co.ke.

Speaking to us yesterday, Kimani has expressed her desire to continue what she is doing. “I want to advocate for better children upbringing and good parenting skills,” she said. She also mentioned that she started a blog in December last year and she writes about general issues in parenting and how it can be turned from a burden faced by mothers into an exciting adventure by women. Her blog is called Exciting Parenting and has great articles such as Basic Language between parents and their children. She is looking to improve her blog this year after her extensive exposure by adding more information on parenting and also creating room for advertisements for those who will be interested and at a small fee. Kimani is also looking forward to working with relevant brands especially those who are associated with Parenting and Children rights.
