Many Kenyans on Monday took to social media and especially Twitter to air out their frustrations towards the increasing cases of police brutality on Maseno University students.
On Monday disturbing videos and images from Sunday’s standoff between the police and Maseno University students emerged online soliciting mixed emotions.
Reports from different media outlets state that the students were protesting against the increasing cases of police harassment in the area with the latest case has been on Sunday when two students went to report a case of their fellow students having been attacked by robbers.
The students are said to have disagreed on the same only for the police to detain them. That led to students from the school only for the police to take it a notch higher as from some clips the police are seen invading a girls hostel with another clip showing students being forced to crawl to a police vehicle.
Here are some of the comments I sampled on twitter;

The students paralyzed transport along the Kisumu Busia road as they lit bonfires and tires on the busy road for the better part of Sunday.
