The Air Jordan XI (11) Space Jam was originally worn by Michael Jordan in the 1995 NBA Playoffs and later in the 1996 movie titled Space Jam.
They come in black, blue and white and first released on December 13th, 2000 ($125). It later released again on December 23rd, 2009 ($175) and will release for the third time on December 10th, 2016 for $220 with number “45” stitching on the heel.
The release will be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Air Jordan 11 and the film as well.
The ‘Space Jam’ Air Jordan 11 2016 release comes with Black patent leather and mesh through the uppers.
Concord lands on the stitched Jumpman while White runs through the mid-sole while a translucent out-sole is intact.
Other details include the number 45 stitched on the heel instead of 23 while Nike Air is placed on the insoles. Overall, this pair will resemble that of Michael Jordan’s PE.
The 2016 Space Jam Air Jordan 11 will also feature a Loony Tunes theme. The number 45 will be on the tissue paper while Bugs Bunny and The Monsters hands will interlink for the number 23. Looney Tunes official branding is then spotted on the bottom of the box while the plastic insert will have a dotted XI.
The Space Jams will easily be the most sought after pair of kicks not only this holiday season, but the most popular shoe of the year. They might actually cause retail serves to crash upon release!
