Last weekend the whole world was celebrating mothers and Sunday culminated into the official mothers day. There were messages of love being sent to mothers all over the world expressing their struggles and how they deserved to receive gratitude. We gathered 7 Kenyan celebrities who sent touching messages to their mothers:

The Kibera number nane’s finest was on Twitter yesterday to express his love for his late mum. The rapper who is riding high of his latest hit song TBT expressed his lovely message in a tweet that quoted him as saying “Happy Mothers Day to NyarBoro Bade Dongo, Miss you so much mum, hope paps and angels are taking care of you”. This is a message that the rapper expressed extensively in his Mama hit a while back.

2. Wahu

Mama Tomiso also took to social media to publish her journey of motherhood. She practically wrote a whole blog about her 11 years as mum. Her message was to empower most mothers in the world. 3. King Kaka

The Kaka Empire owner was not left behind in showing his love for his family. He took to twitter and posted a picture of the whole family that he referred to as The Ombimas. King Kaka has always expressed love for his mother and also did a song ‘Papa’ that explained the difficulty mothers face in marriages.

4. Collins Majale

The Bazokizo hit maker also had a touching message for mothers this last mothers day. He posted on his Twitter handle @collinsmajale, ” To all moms in the world- You’re the connection between a father and a son”.

5. Akothee

Full of drama and controversy, the flashy Akothee was not left behind in this Mothers’ Day special. Being a mother of 5 kids, the singer posted a photo of her kids to celebrate Mothers’ Day.

6. Adelle Onyango

The Kiss FM morning show presenter also expressed a deep message of love on Mothers Day. She lost her mom sometimes back and said the day was hard for her but she went on to say that all strong women should be appreciated for their role as mothers in the society.

7. Pierra Makena

Being a mom, a DJ and a TV presenter among many other roles, DJ Pierra still found time to post a message on her Twitter account. She posted a picture of her while still pregnant and celebrated all mothers who never gave up.
