Kenyan giant gaming company Sportpesa has introduced a regional tournament that will involve the Country and its neighbor Tanzania. The two East African nations will come together to compete for the Sportpesa SuperCup. The tournament which was unveiled last month is set to be the first ever between the two nations.
The competition will involve the best 8 teams from the two Countries that will face each other. Kenya will be represented by current premier league champions Tusker FC, legendary football giants, AFC Leopards and Nakuru Allstars.
Tanzania will be represented by the most famous competitors in the Country in Simba FC facing Nakuru Allstars and Yanga facing Tusker FC football clubs. The other two clubs representing the Tanzanians are Singida United who will face AFC Leopards and Jang’ombe Boys who will go against Gor Mahia.
All the matches will be played at the Tanzania National Stadium in Dar-es-salaam and will be streamed live on East Africa TV and KTN. The competition will start late Monday afternoon with the chosen clubs facing each other for the bragging rights of East Africa football giants. The tournament is set to last a week as the finals will be played on Sunday 11th June at the same stadium.
