Fashion design is the art of application of design and aesthetics into beauty and clothing. It is influenced by social attitude and culture. So, Kiki Mwakisha is a young, passionate fashion lover and designer. She has worked a long way in the fashion industry both in Kenya and is still exploring foreign markets.
The fashion designer has a vast knowledge in the area of Journalism, Broadcast production, Directing, Photography, Editing and Scripting. She believes at aiming her skills towards extreme success even under tight schedules and deadlines.
For the desires of her heart led to her madly falling in love with fashion, Kiki started her fashion creation company: Kiki Mwakisha Creations. The company which she created back in 2014 has made her get noticed in the fashion market.
The first milestone happened the same year with her first collection which comprised of Summer dresses that she launched at the Sleek Style Agencies where the audience were so much receptive and therefore steering her motivation. Later in the same year KM Creations showcased at Peace Galla Dinner, an overwhelming event which many dignitaries were present.
Into their second year in the industry, MK Creations participated in the Picha Festivals as well as a Festival they did as an initiative of their own to fight cancer and support the victims in the society.
This year has been great for MK Creations: they have had to showcase in as far as Ghana, back here in Kenya, they have expanded their wings and have had shows in Mombasa, Kisumu and Malindi.
Kiki Mwakisha is inspired by the words of the late Coco Chanel, a reknown fashion designer who said “Remember that the most important thing you can take anywhere is not a Gucci Bag or a French-Cut Jeans, It is an open mind.”
Her target audience is majorly on the ladies while her signature style is the high waist Ankara pants.
