If you keep applying for jobs you are not qualified for, not only are you wasting time and resources you could be using to find jobs you are qualified for but you will also get a lot of rejections which will only make you feel bad.

The job location is also very important when applying for a position. You need to figure out if it is in an area you are willing to work in.

You should be able to get lunch close by and for a reasonable price.

Things like transport, accommodation should be kept in mind when applying for any job. Don’t apply for a job that will require you to spend a bunch of money you don’t have on transport or one that wil force you to move closer to a place you can’t afford to live in. You don’t want to wake up at 5am every day and get home at 9 When you could be waking up at 8am and getting home at 6pm.

  1. Salary

The salary you earn should be enough for all your monthly needs. You should have enough to spend comfortably and save every month. Consider how much you spend on basic needs like food, transport, rent etc before accepting the job.


  1. Will it help your career grow?

You need to consider whether the position offers opportunities for you to grow in terms of experience and skills gained. If you are trying to build a career in one field but you take a job not related to that, is that really helping you?

Job searching can be a demotivating especially if you have received a lot of rejections. It is important to make moves that will help you in your career and not just get any job just for the sake of having a job.

The company’s values should be in line with yours. Don’t feel like you have to put up with things that are against your beliefs or values just because you want to keep a job and make money. You should be comfortable at the place with your colleagues since you will be there 5 or 6 days a week.
