8 Boys Caught Insulting CS Amina To Remain Behind Bars for 7 more days

Eight students from Ambira Boys’ High School who insulted Cabinet Secretary for Education Amina Mohamed and her Interior counterpart Fred Matiang’i have been arraigned at Ukwala Law Court in Siaya County.

The 8 students did not take a plea and the prosecution added 7 more days so that they could finish their investigations.

On Monday, November 26th, they appeared before Justice Adhiambo .the students agreed that they are detained at Ugunja Police station for seven more days.

The students were filmed in a video insulting Amina and Matiangi while bragging about cheating in exams. Uhuru issued a stern warning to undisciplined students. He said that the 8 students will see how the government deals with undisciplined students who cheat in exams.

He said,

“We will not and we shall not entertain indiscipline and abuse from our young people. You must learn to respect your elders just as much as your elders must learn to respect and nurture you,” he said.

The students are to appear before the court on December 3rd.
