“90% KCSE Students Miss Varsity Places’’, Education CS Says

The Education CS Amina Mohammed has confirmed that 90 percent of the students who sat for KCSE last year will not have a chance to join university.

A successful 62,841 students that scored a mean grade of C+ will get the degree courses of their choice.

More female students have qualified to join University compared to last year’s. To this the CS has affirmed that the government efforts for gender parity are working.

553 students who qualified for degree opted for diploma courses and will be placed to their desired programme.

However the CS has vowed that the ministry will ensure students from minority and marginalized groups do not get disadvantaged.
