The winner of Airtel TRACE Music Star Kenya edition, was unveiled on Saturday January 10, at the finals which saw Benjamin Webi take the crown. During the competition, judges Chris Adwar, Atemi Oyungu, and Wyre sieved through thousands of submissions and selected the best 6 finalists, which included Bliss, Webi,Joy, Njeri, Phyllis and Trina.
Benjamin Webi, a gospel artist beat the re-stand topped the competition where he took home the coveted title, a car worth Sh1.5 million and a direct entry into the Pan African Airtel Trace Music Star competition. The winner for the Pan African Trace Music Star will stand a chance to win Sh3 million, a recording deal with a distributed label through Universal Music Group, a trip to New York City and a mentorship with Akon.
