On Saturday, December 13, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, former IBF/WBA Junior Welterweight Champion Amir Khan made a strong case for Welterweight supremacy in putting forth a very impressive and dominant effort against former two division titlist Devon Alexander.

While calling last night’s action, Paulie Malignaggi made the claim that Khan would possibly defeat both Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in head to head match-ups.

“Amir beats both Mayweather and Pacquiao right now,”

claims the former two division titlist.

Mayweather has said he may quit at the end of next year and the Bolton scrapper knows this could be his last chance to clinch a £30million superfight with the world’s pound-for-pound king.

“Fighting in September could be tough because of Ramadan,” he said. “Ideally, May would be perfect for the Mayweather fight.

The UK fans want that fight. It would be such a massive fight and the UK fans would fly over for it.We’ll see what happens and it’s down to Golden Boy to sort it out.

Lets wait and see if the fight will happen next year, if it does it is a definite must watch.

Do you think Amir Khan can beat Floyd Mayweather?
