The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology has once again featured in the news as journalist have taken the verge of unveiling the police men who were brutally injuring the students as they held their demos.
Andrew Kibe in his morning Magazine Show decided to invite the comrade at the Kiss FM in solidarity with the comrades. He has stood so far to say that campus students are mature and should not be taken as young lads.
From the demos at least three lives are reported to have been stabbed to death as rape cases were also witnessed in the aftermath of the strike. What one would really fail to understand, how did this activities came to play.
EFFECTS OF JKUAT MASSIVE STRIKE
- It has led to death of students
- Destruction of property
- Injuries of students
- Rape case reported
- At least 10 students arrested
In the midst of the demos a group of gangsters are reported to have taken advantage of the demos and caused not only to destruction to the students but also to the community living within the Juja area.
The police are all patrolling in the area today still looking for students to harm despite what they did yesterday. A statement coming from interior cabinet secretary seems not to be convincing enough since his officers took matters to their hands.
“I have spoken to the IG and we both agree that firm and decisive action shall be taken against any officer who used excessive force, within the next 24 hours.” Dr. Matiang’i posted .
Security issues have become a threat to the JKUAT students and the police post serving the Juja community seems to be reluctant in matters security. It is high time the CS becomes hard on the police.
