The most-hyped and biggest rugby event ever, Masaku 7s to happen on Kenyan soil is back again. Taking place this week in Machakos County, the 5-day competitive event brings together over 65 teams from all over the world.

The tournament that has proved to be completely enticing and attractive to the masses starts on Tuesday, June 30th and the curtains are set to come down on Sunday the 5th of July 1, 2015 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Full of pomp and color this fanciful rugby festival is in its fourth Edition and is expected to feature some of the world’s giant rugby clubs from countries including Fiji, Argentina, Australia, and Uganda amongst others.

This rugby extravaganza will encompass participants’ right from Primary school teams, secondary school teams, Universities and colleges, and way up to international, professional rugby teams. The event organizers have increased this edition’s prize money from 1M KES to 2M KES for the festival which they have dubbed as rebranded.

Expect Machakos County to be a beehive of activities while rugby lovers and sponsors fill up the stands and lighten up the city. Fans can only look forward to competitive and captivating rugby in a festival that will be action-packed with both on and off-field events.
