The Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has brewed his interest in becoming Nairobi’s next governor. Speaking at an interview with Citizen TV on Monday Morning, Babu said he will run for the gubernatorial seat come 2011.
That was not all, he went on saying that even after the 2022 elections, he would still make it to be the next Nairobi governor. The interview and interest declaration comes days after his election was upheld by the Court of appeal.
`I am organized and a serious intellectual. I’ll organize the city of Nairobi and rid its common challenges such as lack of water, poor roads and poor disposal systems,’’
He cited that his interest can be backed up by what he has so far done for his constituency. He listed facilitation and repair of 8 tarmac roads and a contribution of 1M for the Utawala Road and 25M worth of bursaries to needy students as one of his many works since his election.
