Beatrice Chepkoech bags Gold in 3000m in Doha

World record-holder Beatrice Chepkoech produced an overwhelming superhuman performance to secure a gold medal in the women’s 3000 metres steeplechase final on Monday, September 30, at the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Qatar, Doha.

Her win encouraged team Kenya who are residing in the country. Some have been working during the day and ensuring they attend the olympic to support their country men. She led all the way to the finish point.

Her competitor who tried to outdo her from United States didn’t manage to catch up with her. Her speed was maintained from the beginning of the race to the end. Kenya is still hopeful to bag 7 medals in the race.

This time round, Kenya got gold from races they did not expect. It’s encouraging. Though the Kenyan men seem to find it hard in the races. May be the heat  levels in Doha seems to be burning them down. The world olympic champions still continues in Doha.
