Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine is expected to jet back into his country, Uganda, today and as expected, controversy surrounding his comeback has already started to build up.
Ugandan authorities had by Wednesday stated that only his immediate family members would be allowed to receive him at the airport. However by Thursday morning his elder brother, Eddie Yawe, ended up being taken into custody by Ugandan police while on his way to receive his younger brother.
According Ugandan media outlets, Yawe was waylaid by the police and arrested under unclear circumstances and is currently held at Entebbe Airport. A show down between Bobi Wines supporters and the Ugandan Authorities is expected later today as Wine is expected to pull quite a crowd on his arrival.
The MP is returning back from the US where he had traveled to seek further treatment after he was allegedly brutalized by the Ugandan Police for his hard stands against President Museveni’s government.
