Msambweni MP Hon. Suleiman Dori passed on today morning at Agha Khan Hospital, Mombasa. The parliamentarian was admitted in Internal Care Unit. He has been receiving medical attention at the hospital .
He was elected to parliament through Orange Democratic Movement in 2017. He was the Chairperson for Coastal leaders in parliament. He will be remembered for developing infrastructure in his constituency.
“Suleiman had throat complications that led to fluid accumulation in the tissue and air spaces of the lungs ” ~ Mvita MP reiterated on the death of Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori. He has been undergoing treatment for blood cancer for quite a while.
He has been at loggerheads with ODM party for a move to work with Deputy President William Ruto. This led to a move to ouster him out of the party for being indiscipline in the party. He faced the indiscipline charges alongside Hon. Aisha Jumwa.
The coastal member of parliament will be remembered for being anti BBI. His talks in public rallies indicated his stand on the BBI. This seemed to a song that he sang different from ODM Party.
Leaders across all political divide have sent their condolences to the family of Suleiman Dori. He is expected to be laid to rest today in accordance to the Muslim customs. He will be laid to rest in Kwale County.
