Would you like to run your own company? Are you interested in learning the dynamics involved in the day to day operations of an organisation? Do you get excited at the prospect of a new and challenging task? Then, the Global Management Challenge (GMC) is tailored specifically for you!!!
Learning is evolving from the traditional and boring theoretical classroom to Experiential and Practical learning. Hands-on Learning is all the rage right now with employers shifting their hiring strategy from academic qualification to practical skills as well as technical expertise. One’s ability to deliver, work in a diverse team and adapt to changing circumstances are but some of the common employer key areas of interest.
Bridge the gap between theory and practice by participating in the 2017-2018 edition of the Global Management Challenge.
The Global Management Challenge is the largest strategy and management competition in the world open to both students and professionals. In a nut shell, GMC consists of a Management Simulation in which each team runs a virtual Company, with the objective of achieving the highest Investment Performance. Managing a company, without running real-world risks, and taking top management decisions, the competitors are given the opportunity to:
- Analyse Financial and Economic Indicators,
- Broaden their views on Corporate Strategy,
- Interact with the different Functional Areas of a Company,
- Understand the Market Conditions in which they compete and Customer Satisfaction,
- Become aware of the impact of their Decisions on the Organization itself, within an environment designed to encourage and develop teamwork
How does the Global Management challenge work?
There are four stages of the competition: Round 1, Round 2, National Final and the International Final. Typically, the challenge is played in teams; the first step is to form a team comprising of 3-5 members. Registered teams are then clustered together in clusters of 8 teams to form a group. Teams in the same group act as competitors.
Is the challenge restricted to business/finance students and professionals?
No, the challenge is open to all. Whatever your field- engineering, finance, medicine, law- the GMC competition is not restricted to any discipline.
