Cooperative University College of Kenya Press Release

University student elections often come with doom. This time, The Cooperative University College of Kenya in Karen is victim. Yesterday, as the contestants for the elections set to take place on 3rd March 2016 were conducting their campaigns, a bus hired by one of the candidates overturned within the school compound.

33 students were injured in the process, two of who succumbed to injuries. The students were rushed to hospitals around the university college among them Karen Hospital, Kenyatta Hospital and Coptic Hospital where they are being monitored by hospital staff as well as people assigned by the college.

The Cooperative University College’s administration expressed regret through a press release ensuring students, parents and stakeholders that they are dealing with the situation accordingly.
