Covid19: Kenya records 7 cases in her 2nd Week!

The Covid 19 has become a menace in most countries of the world. It has brought a lot of consequences not only to the human race but also to the economical state of the country.

Last week, Kenya in particular was met her first case of Corona Virus. This has grown to 4 cases currently reported to have tested positive. The latest discovery has also brought tension to the Kenyans from all parts of the country. Despite of Kenyans being advised not to panic, tension has grown vividly in this country.

When President Uhuru Kenyatta addressed the nation concerning the virus, he called on the closure of all schools in the country, something that was expected in the verge of the latter.             The matatu Industry have taken advantage of the situation. The bus fares have been doubled and tripled for those travelling back to their homes.

For instance during this month of March, bus fare from Nairobi to Mombasa ranges from 800 for common buses but at the moment it’s narrowing down to 2000. This indicates how people take advantage of situations that co-exist in the country.

Another thing that was addressed by the president was the issue of working from home. It seems to be a good idea although it might have adverse effects since some organizations may end up not paying their workers in the name of Covid effects.

The virus has brought the world to a standstill and nobody knows the cure. It’s a menace that has really affected most global population. We are expected to maintain hygiene in all areas of our lives for survival but are we really safe? Are the measures outlined really relevant to the Kenyans citizens.

Most of the developed countries always observe hygienic measures in their countries for long time but the virus is still sabotaging them. Covid 19 has also brought forth tension in hospitals. The medical practitioners are now focused on the virus and some have even neglected other patients who are suffering from other infections.

This is likely to lead to death to those patients who aren’t on the look out. We hope as a country, the virus will be brought to its knees and the world will smile again!!!!
