Dapo ‘Dbanj’ Oyebanjo was on Thursday awarded an entertainment icon plaque from the Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television, Arts and Sports Awards (BEFFTA) at the British House of Parliament in Westminster.
BEFFTA honors ethnic minority artisans, entertainers, media outlets, intellectuals and sports personalities and is widely regarded as the premier black awards ceremony in the UK. It was heavily attended by big industry personalities, top among them Dr. Pauline Long (Founder, BEFFTA Awards), Chief Bimbo Afolayan who is presently the chairman of BEFFTA, Dayo Olomu and many more people.
This award adds to numerous awards the West African star has to his name. He is currently in the UK on tour.
Talking about the award, D’banj said:
“I am very grateful for this award. I realized about three years ago, that to whom much is given, much is expected, so I am happy to be honored and will continue to do my best for my fans and all those I can help.”
