Celebrated Nigerian singer D’banj, also known as ‘The Kokomaster’ will jet into the country next week to grace the unveiling of the Radio and Television Personality Awards (RTP) nominees, a red-carpet affair that will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
The awards, which have previously run in Ghana and Nigeria over the years, will for the first time be held in Kenya since the Kenyan industry has grown both progressively and aggressively. The awards seek to appreciate both the faces and voices we hear on television and radio. The theme of the awards is to celebrate personalities and brands that inspire, entertain and shape our destiny.
Swaleh Mdoe has been nominated for the inaugural Radio and Television Personalities Awards (RTP Awards), They seek to honour the faces and voices of the industry.
The awards will have 38 categories. They have already attracted 153 nominees. The unveiling of the nominees will take place on February 3, at the Radisson Blu Terrace.
Rumour also has it that during the event’s main gala, which is set to take place on March 24 – at the same venue – Yemi Alade and Timaya will be the main acts for the night.
