Digital Marketing Training is an initiative designed to offer 18-30 year olds a FREE opportunity to learn the basics of digital marketing and skills development on 20th and 21st May 2016. The training is brought to you by Livity Africa in partnership with Google, IAB, British High Commission and British Council.

Digify Bytes is made up of two key sessions: Digital 101 and Strategy 101. Each session runs for up to six hours, giving participants a full download of digital marketing and brand building, whether for themselves, their business or a possible employer. The goal is to ensure that by the end of both sessions, everyone has a basic understanding of various digital tools and applications that can be used in both business and day-to-day life.

Digify Bytes Course Content:

DIGITAL 101: Digital 101 is designed to give students the basics of digital marketing in one day.  It is not an advanced course, but shows students the A-Z in digital marketing, starting with a brief overview of the history of the Internet and how it has become such a pivotal part of our daily lives. Digital 101 is divided into the seven modules below.

  • Intro to Online Marketing.
  • Traditional vs Digital Marketing.
  • Introduction to Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
  • Introduction to Paid Advertising (PPC).
  • Web Design and UX.
  • Content Marketing.
  • Social Media.

STRATEGY 101: Strategy 101 allows trainees to take it to the next level by understanding how to develop the winning strategies that will increase followers and build consumer loyalty. This session is divided into five modules namely:

  • Digital Strategy – Social Wheel Linking.
  • Get inside Your Customer’s Head- The Pitch.
  • Research and Trends.
  • Measuring Success in Digital Marketing.
  • Roll Out and Take To Market Strategy.
