A stylistic visualized opinion piece from outspoken human rights defender Maina Kiai on what happened in Kenya’s 2013 elections, and the consequences for justice. In the film, Kenyan Human Rights defender, Maina Kiai, discusses how the 2013 election was used to protect local political icon, Uhuru Kenyatta, from crimes against humanity charges by the International Criminal Court. The events have left hundreds of thousands of victims without hope of justice.
