The deputy president has been pursuing his PhD course despite his much concentration in politics. He has been has been struggling to balance between the two but did not manage to graduate on Friday 2nd December as many did expect.

As he had admitted before the graduation day in a tweet last week that he was not going to graduate because he did not fulfill the demanding regulations to achieve a PhD degree course saying that he had obliged to the set standards.

The no-nonsense Education Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i (who was much uploaded by the congregation at University of Nairobi) has introduced tough rules in the education sector that might have caused the DP’s failure to graduate.
