Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee are on the verge of making chart history this year, when their remix of ‘Despacito ‘ featuring vocals from Justin Bieber smashes the record for Longest Reigning Number 1. The song has taken the world by storm with the many remixes of all kinds of languages (… including our very own Kimeru cover) becoming hits the world over.

While the single may have spent 11 weeks at the top of our chart this summer (so far), the original Spanish version of the reggaeton track was already a huge hit in the latin world – already racking up over 2 BILLION views on YouTube!

With latin vibes proving to be successful all over the world, it looks like Spanish legend Enrique Iglesias is hoping to repeat Luis & Yankee’s success with his biggest track of 2017 – ‘Súbeme La Radio’ (Turn Up The Radio ). And with 5 weeks still to go before Despacito breaks the record, this might just be the song that stops that from happening.

The track, originally released back in February, just got a new twist with the release of an English remix featuring Jamaican rapper Sean Paul. The original version has already been a huge hit with over 500 million views on YouTube already.

We’ll just have to wait and see whether it’s the song that will finally take Despacito off the throne.
