Students of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication yesterday morning staged a demonstration to the Principals office decrying the water crisis that has hit the institution in the past month.
The students demanded audience from the principal and asked for water supply connection to be restored with immediate effect. The demonstration was peaceful and was staged just within the premises of this institution that is located in Nairobi’s South B area. They requested the institution’s administration to put in place long-term measures in place rather than bringing in water trucks on daily basis since this doesn’t serve the students adequately.
However the institutions management said the problem was under control and two water trucks were brought in in the evening.
Our reporter spoke to a KIMC student about the incident and here is what he had to say;
