Embattled IEBC chief executive officer Ezra Chiloba has now moved to court to challenge his suspension.
Chiloba was sent on a three month compulsory leave by the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati over procurement misconduct.
In a petition filed at the Employment and Labor Relations Court, Chiloba now wants Chebukati’s decision annulled and the chairman compelled to disclose the nature of the alleged procurement misconduct that was cited for his temporary ouster.
Chiloba in the petition claims that the decision to send him packing was arrived at in an irregular manner, since it was not part of the agenda in the Friday meeting and violated his rights hearing.
Chiloba and Chebukati not been in good terms for a while now and he has come out to accuse the IEBC chairman of witch hunt.
