  1. Sema Anika Forum

If you are looking for an insightful, intimate event to attend this weekend and you are interested in poetry, this is the gig for you. Sema Anika is holding forums this year based on SDGs (sustainable development goals in the society) created by the UN.  Their main goal this year is to highlight human rights all through. It‘s entry is free and the venue is within reach for any student within Nairobi. See poster for the rest of the details.

  1. The GO Down Gig

All lovers of music should make their way to the Go down gig on Saturday evening to watch Gilad, who is well known for his love songs like, “Unajua” and “Rangi ya Bahari”, boy band,  Le Band and Nahna. The event begins in the evening at the Go Down Arts Centre in South B and is also free of charge.


Upcoming band, Bandana and Clef are hosting their event at  910 James Gichuru Road. Bandana primarily comprises of students of music from Kenyatta University. Taste will kick off at 1 p.m. and aside from Bandana, Elly Sings, Halisi Band and Mima the Poet will be performing. This is also an intimate gig; music lovers will not be disappointed. 4. Waksy- A Live show

The Creative’s Garage never disappoints when hosting an event, whether it is a chilled out art display or a full on music event. It is also a really cool place to chill out with other creatives. This Sunday The Kani Band-its are holding their first event with Waksy as the main featured artist.  They have other artists lined up as indicated on the poster as well as surprise guests.
