Gikomba Traders Say They Read Mischief

Gikomba traders have now spoken up on the ongoing investigations on the fire that razed down a section of the market last week.

The traders say they suspect there are no genuine investigations going but rather some land owners trying to indirectly evict them. This came just the authorities instructed the traders not to reconstruct the destroyed stalls until ‘matters’ have been solved.

The traders claim that despite the fact that fires have been occurring quite often, the government has never taken any tangible actions towards the matter. Currently there are police men around the area to prevent the traders from reconstructing anything in the area.
