Governor Sonko over the years has been seen as a man of the people but the county has proven to be hard for him to run. He has been in and out of court answering calls regarding his misuse of his prerogative powers.
The governor yesterday handed over the key functions to the National government. This move has led to many to discuss his latest move. His move indicates a sign of surrendering the duties he was elected to do.
Nairobi government has failed in many aspects. They first had an issue with the speaker who resumed his work recently. The deputy governor resigned after being in office for a short while raising questions on the governor’s scope.
He is facing charges leveled against him in the courts of law. Governor Sonko impeachment case is also another stumbling block in his political career. He becomes another governor whose fate lies with the county assembly.
