Have you ever missed an important meeting due to traffic? We’ve got people who also have missed meetings as a result of having a lot lined up in their schedules. Missing meetings have consequences that come to display.
New technology has been invented to end the challenge if Human Uber is something to go by. With many people in the corporate world, the new invention is likely to gain acceptance since it is quite unique.
You can now relax at your house and be represented by somebody else in a meeting thanks to the new discovery. “Human Uber” allows people to be present anywhere using another person’s body.
Japanese researcher Jun Rekimoto did present his new tech, called ChameleonMask, at MIT Tech Review‘s EmTech this week, Select All reports. ChameleonMask has apparently been described as a “Human Uber,” but it’s really closer to a mobile FaceTime.
According to its website, the technology “uses a real human as a surrogate for another remote user,” by giving the surrogate “a mask-shaped display that shows a remote user’s live face, and a voice channel transmits a remote user’s voice.” Rekimoto reportedly described the experience of using ChameleonMask as “surprisingly natural,” which does sound surprising.
So, you’ll just sit at home with a live video feed of the event while telling the surrogate what to do, where to look, point, touch, etc.
