Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) students have now been left both shaken and mourning after losing one of their own in unclear circumstances.

Tabitha Kitaa Kiiti reportedly went missing on Saturday early morning while on her way back to the school from a night out with her friends. The student’s lifeless body was on Tuesday (yesterday) found outside one of the schools hostels named Oasis near the schools Gate C.

Missing JKUAT student found murdered

According to Jomo Kenyatta Students Association (JKUSA) president Ibrahim Boru Shalle, Kitaa was lastly seen by her friends on Saturday morning as they were on their way back to school together.

Her friends say after reaching their destination the 21 year old refused to alight from the bus and they literally had to drag her out only to see her rushing back to the bus while they had already crossed the road.

All the fellow students who were with her have already recorded their statements with the police. This incident has once again brought out security concerns from the students who seem unhappy with the rising insecurity around the area.

Kitaa’s body was moved to Kenyatta University Mortuary awaiting post-mortem results.
