In October 2015, Palmolive spear headed a competition searching for the Face of Palmolive. Palmolive together with Varcity went round different universities encouraging beauties from all the campuses to try out.
All they had to do was purchase a Palmolive product and pose for a picture with it then get their friends to vote for the best photo on social media platforms.
Staying true to the task Joan Wayua won the promised prize money of Kshs. 700,000 winner and the chance to be the face of Palmolive for a year.
Sharon Sang’ who came second pulled the most votes on Facebook earning her $500.
