The premiere of the JW Fashion show took place at the Junction Cinemax on 2nd April 2015. The cold and dull weather didn’t stop the beauties and gentlemen in attendance from rocking their amazing gowns and suits on the red carpet.

It kicked off at 7.30 p.m with the red carpet photo session. Guests then moved on into the cinema where they got free Couture Magazines as they entered.

The host gave the guests time to settle and mingle before they watched a preview of the episode of the JW Men’s collection Fashion show. The theme of the premiere was #MadeinKenyabyKenyans.

The show featured upcoming fashion designers, make-up artists and fashionprenuers. There were highlights of backstage difficulties during a fashion show, comments on the rate of growth of the fashion industry in Kenya; a few designs that made it to the runway as well as judges’ comments and expectations.

The make-up artists also expressed their pleasure in working with the JW Show and their hopes for even more growth in the industry.

After the brief film, the audience got a chance to give feedback. Featured designers expressed their gratitude to the show as it provides a great platform of growth and exposure.

A few people got to ask questions regarding the fashion industry. A member of the audience had their birthday on that day and shared cake with the rest as they walked out to mingle and take more photos. Aside from the rainy weather, it was a successful premiere.
