The JW show is a fashion reality TV show which brings designers a platform to showcase their best designs in front of an audience of photographers, bloggers and very influential people. This not only gives the designers exposure but also a chance to network.
It began in 2013 when Jeffrey Wilson, the founder saw the need to appreciate local brands. He however did not manage to air it at that time.
Finding sponsors and locations for the shows proved to be tricky. His belief in hard work and perfection has however made him see beyond any challenge he could possibly face in this endeavor.
Through the movement #MADEINKENYAYKENYANS, Jeffery Wilson has managed to travel to different parts of the county in search for creative and involve them in the Fashion show which is aired annually.
After finding exquisite designers during the show, they will then be featured in international fashion. The winner is set to receive an award of Kshs. 100,000.
On 2nd April 2016 the JW show premieres its last edition of the Men’s Collection at the Junction Cinemax from 6p.m. to 10p.m. Tickets cost Kshs. 1500 for a wonderful red carpet experience, fashion, interaction with celebrities and networking. The dress code is Black Tie or made in Kenya.
