KCSE Candidate Dies while Preparing for Chemistry Paper

KCSE exams are underway and people are excited however the mood has changed for the parents of one student. The family in Nakuru County is in deep shock after their child’s sudden death. Harrison Kiprono Mutai, a 19-year-old student at Sitoito School died on Friday, November 9th. The deceased was supposed to be doing his Chemistry practical paper.

The deceased was diagnosed with cancer in February 2018 at Alexandria Cancer Centre. He had been battling with the disease for ten months. At the time of his death, he was in a hospital and that is where he was carrying out his exams.

According to his school principal, David Korir, his performance was bad after the sad diagnosis. Before this case, four other candidates had died too cause of sickness. The candidates were from Gaichanjiru Boys High School, Barsumbat Secondary School, and Nyabisae SDA School.
