Yesterday Kenya finished second in the Hong Kong sevens finals after losing 12-14 to Fiji, with 19 points. Fijians scored twice in the first half of the match earning 17 points before Kenyans registered a single point.

Kenya’s Billy Odhiambo made the first try in the second half earning Kenya 5 points before Fiji’s Vatemo Ravuovuo fought his way to the line with Jerry Tuwai making it a 24-5Win. Oscar Ouma gave Kenya the final try in the last minute just before the match ended.

This was the first time Kenya has made an appearance in the Hong Kong semis with South Africa coming at number 3 after they beat New Zealand.
