University of Nairobi’s Kenya Science campus student’s yesterday evening brought Ngong road to a standstill leading to heavy traffic around the Junction Mall. The students were demonstrating the directive by the ministry of education led by the Cabinet Secretary Dr. Matiangi to relocate the school to pave way for Kenya Technical Trainers College (KTTC).

Traffic built up along Ngong road causing disarray to businesses and commuters using the raod.

In a letter dated September 9th Dr. Matiangi wrote to the school’s council directed to the Chairman Idle Farah to surrender the facility to the KTTC by Thursday, December 1st.

The students were joined by their leaders who condemned the move by the ministry and called the allegation as the ‘looming relocation plan’. They also said that they were still waiting for the school administration to give them the way forward.

The Commission of Administrative Justice (CAJ) called the Ministry of Education to suspend the relocation of KTTC from Gigiri to Kenya Science campus.
