Kenyan Movie `18 Hours’ Tops With Five Nominations In 2018 AMVCAs

Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) has announced its nominees in 2018. The Kenyan Film fraternity is happy to announce that Kenya’s film 18 Hours is on the top list with five nominations.

The film which is inspired by true events has been nominated for ;

  • Best Movie In East Africa
  • Best Overall Movie
  • Best Writer
  • Best Sound Track
  • Best Picture.

Other nominations also include Nyce Wanjeri  who stars as Shiro in Auntie Boss (Best Actress Category), Dennis Wanjohi Maina for his documentary The Flesh business (Best Documentary Category) and Sarika Hemi for his movie Supa Modo (Best Indigenous Language Movie).

Shiro will be battling for the prestigious award alongside Famous Nigerian Actress Rita Dominic.

The Voting started on 30th June 2018 and  will close on 24th August 2018.
