After the strike that was helmed by the Kenyatta University, the management has shared a memo on new dates for re-opening of the campus. One question that needs to be re-looked at is whether the administration has resolved the issues that led to strike.
Here’s a copy gazetted by the university to reach all their students who had travelled to various destinations. They are expected to return on Monday. Lectures are resuming this coming Monday for the school of Pharmacy, Medicine, Public Health among others.
As the students await to re-open, it is alleged that they are expected to pay for the damages caused by the universities. This has been recorded by Hon. Babu Owino who has said, he is ready to fight for the comrades in parliament.
According to Babu Owino, University Vice Chancellor have over the years overcharged the students at the expense of paying for tax as it has been recorded they have been evading paying taxes.
