Friday the 20th saw the show casing of Mr & Ms Zetech Beauty pageant at the Carnivore. Fashion, skill and talent were in the spotlight.
Zetech University has been putting in great work to build students, both academically and other co-curricular activities, from sporting and talents.
Present was Zetech’s VC, Big Ted, Gor Semelang’o and Dennis Itumbi, giving the young a heart support. From the entertainment, in attendance Kaka Empire, Sleepy David, Owago Onyiro as the MCs of the energy filled night.
The event was super competitive, all contestants wanted to win badly. The judges really had a hard task in crowning the winner. The contestants all put in great effort in preparation.
Having 5 judges was a tie break. The judges were:
- Stevens Muendo- Chief editor Pulse
- Shamila- etiquette boutique
- Gayleen Ayugi- Miss Universe 2014
- Jamal Gadaffi,- TV presenter
- Manasseh Nyagah- Actor and director PUJO Events and Marketing
Manasseh represented the judges by taking us through what criteria the used to crown James and Maureen Nyawira as Mr & Miss Zetech respectively.
Having a professional well experienced judge’s panel makes the whole event credible.
‘’ the judging criteria incorporated the pre judging and D day judging too. Confidence, self-presentation, etiquette, general knowledge and image’’
Maureen, who took the Miss Zetech title, is a 22year Business Management student. She is a fashion lover and runs a make-up vlog. Her inspiration comes from Winnie Harlow.
The audience then enjoyed the headlining performances from Femi one King Kaka and Avril.
Frasha and Gabu were also in the house.
Beauty is pain; the models had to endure the long hours of practice, personal sacrifice, hardworking and lots of patience.
We wish Maureen and James the very best in their reign.
