KUSA president has had enough of the insecurity cases affecting the KU students. He finally spoke after the cruel murder of a comrade in Kahawa Wendani estate. He expressed his emotions in his statement yesterday. This is what he said in his statement:
“Today, the 26th February, a robbery incident occurred at Kahawa Wendani around 1:45 AM where three people died. One of the Victims was our colleague and Comrade Phenius Muriungi Ndubi Registration Number: T21/1948/2006. Phenius and the night Guard of GASSA House were killed by the armed robbers. The third dead person was one of the five robbers shot dead by the Police.
This comes barely a month after Newborn Majani Musomi died and that investigation in itself is not complete. I met the Security agencies when Majani died and we agreed on a few basics which in our opinion have not been met.
This is unacceptable and it cannot be tolerated.
I have scheduled a meeting with the Police Leadership tomorrow at Vigilance House to seek responses. After the meeting, I will release a statement on what is the next step.
Until then, I request you to remain calm. As I indicated, everyone has to know that we cannot allow this to happen again and that tomorrow depending on the outcome of our meeting, we will take very decisive steps to redress this.
Allow me not to comment more on the matter and I sincerely thank you for engaging me on this issue till now.
Rest in Peace Phenius!”
