List Of Top 10 K.C.PE 2020 Candidates.

Mumo Faith Kawee is the top student in the 2020 KCPE exam scoring 433 out of 500 marks.

Announcing the results at Mtihani House, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha (above) said that the top ten students out of 15 in last year’s exam came from public schools, while eight girls scooped the top potions.

Below, the list of the top ten students:

2. Wesonga Nanzala – 432

3. Muriithi Angel Gakenia- 432

4. Wanyonyi Samuel- 431

5. Castro Williams-431

7. Kipkirui Abiud- 430

8. Mwangi Margaret Waruguru- 429

9. Bernice Omondi- 429

10. Kiogora Joyce Nkatha- 429

Others are, Daniel Chris Mboya, Njenga Mwagambo, Jeff Mutugi, Polycarp Kiyondi,  and Debrah Zawadi all with 428 marks.

Brian Otundo of Set Greenhill Academy emerged as the best special needs student with 420 marks and Kibet Gibson second with 411 marks.

According to Magoha, male candidates posted better results than their female counterparts in Maths, Science, Social Studies, and Religious education, while female candidates performed better in English and Kiswahili languages.

Over 9,000 pupils scored 400 marks and above 282,000 candidates scored between 300-399 marks while 589,000 scored between 200-299 marks accounting for 50 per cent candidature.

Only three hundred and seven learners scored 0-199 marks, a notable decline from 2019’s 1,173 candidates.

A total of 1,179,192 candidates sat for the 2020 national examination, marked across 28,460 examination centres.

590,450 were boys and 588,742 girls.
