Kenyan striker John Mark Makwatta has his eyes set for a move to the Zambian football league. Makwatta who had earlier on been mentioned as a striker who was on the verge of moving to Europe is set to join a Zambia premier league side soon.He was also included in the match against Hull city in England.
The striker who has played for Ulinzi stars in the recent past was delayed in Europe in what seemed like a possible move to Slovakia side FC Nitra but it did not materialize. He has since moved to Zambia and was reported by The Nairobian as being at a stadium in Zambia.
Nairobi News also reported that the Sportpesa 2016 premier league top scorer was in Ndola on Wednesday to discuss a move with his suitors. Makwatta aslo watched from the stands at the Levi Mwanawasa stadium as his soon to be club played an international friendly.
Makwatta is set to join Buildcon FC that also has Kenyan international Clifford Miheso who played on the left wing last night. Miheso joined the club after he had trouble in the South African premier league.
This move will be similar to that of Jesse Were who left for Zesco United after being the top scorer in the Kenyan Premier league. Ulinzi Stars have also given their player the green light for a move to the Zambian side.
