Malia Obama moved into the Harvard University campus on Monday after taking a gap year. Her parents, former American president and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama helped her move into her new home.
During her time off, she interned at The Weinstein Company and worked behind the camera on Lena Dunham’s TV show “Girls”. She also worked on Halle Berry’s show “Extant” in 2015.
Her father attended the same university pursuing a law degree.
The family moved in a day early taking advantage of the media’s concentration on the solar eclipse to lay low. They were accompanied by members of the Secret Service.
Her parents were emotional during the send-off as usual.
