The MAMA’s award show on Saturday night, 22 October started off on a reasonably good note as musician, celebrities, social media “influencer”s and wanna be’s made their way to the TicketPro Dome to experience the MAMAs first time in Johannesburg.
We must say we are quite inpressed by the edgy looks from the ladies, however men still need to style up their game when it comes to fashion.
Here is a collection of some of the fashion looks from the MAMA’s 2016:
Unique, fun and fresh. This look is colorful and fun, perfect for a music award ceremony.
Solo and Dineo
Faya!! This couple is slaying on the red couple!
No… just no.
She looks amazing in this purple laced dress. I have got nothing but love for the whole ensemble, however the weave needs some work.
Future, the big international superstar didn’t seem to care much for our MAMA’s as he showed up in a simple jeans and shirt. Really???!!
Woah, her legs go on for days. The cute low cut dress and coat look is so fresh. The addition of the red lips and black high heels complete the look perfectly.
Yemi normally has an amazing fashion sense, however she seem to hold back this time round.
Our Kenyan boy-band won big in the MAMA’s however we are not sure what to say about their velvety jackets. We understand the need for the uniformity, but these looks do not scream winners.
Major League DJs
These guys are proudly South African and aren’t afraid to show it. Their traditional shoals set them apart from the crowd.
This dress is simply elegant and sexy. The thigh high slit and bare back were a perfect red carpet look.
Nandi Madida and Ayanda Thabethe
Nandi (on the left) has since been able to dress for her pregnant bump, she’s been getting it right since her baby bump debut. Ayanda Thabethe’s beauty is just unmatched and her dress just made her even more beautiful, can’t fault these two ladies they owned their look on the red carpet.
Caster Semenya and her wife Violet
This couple dorned Indian inspired looks and I must say, they weren’t half bad. What do you think?
