Over 1,000 graduate police officers have already resigned with more graduate and disabled officers expected to follow suit following the implementation of the now controversial pay cut of up-to half of their salaries.

The cut which affects the Kenya Police Service, Administration Police Service, General Service Unit (GSU) and the directorate of criminal investigation has already been put to effect with those who have received their March salaries confirming to the Nation that their salaries had been cut with up-to Ksh 26,000.

The adjustments mainly affect graduates and those who have been disabled in the line of duty a move some say is meant to scrap off the graduates who have been taking home a better pay.
