Flamboyant Floyd Mayweather has agreed to fight Connor McGregor in a bout that has been the talk of town since the two started speculating rumors. Mayweather who had earlier retired after beating Manny Pacquiao in a boxing match that ended his career on a high. The United States of America boxer promised he would retire after the fight with Pacquiao after being undefeated in all his matches.
Earlier this year Connor McGregor had claimed that he would love to get a go at the undefeated Mayweather and promised to defeat him. The Irishman who is a kick-boxer had said that he would get in a ring with the 40 year old Mayweather and beat him. Mayweather who has gone 49 matches in his boxing career without a loss countered the Irishman by saying he would come out of retirement just for him.
Finally the date has been agreed upon as there have been delays in the months that followed the declarations from both parties. Mayweather who will be coming back from his 23 month retirement is bound to face McGregor ON August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas USA.
The match will involve a 154 pound showdown and according to BBC Sport that is why Mayweather and his promotions manager have agreed on the fight with Connor McGregor. The two will finally get to settle this debate and give the sporting world another scintillating experience.
