Mdundo music app just became the 4th Kenyan app to hit 1 million installs. Since its launch in 2016 the app, which was first launched in Kenya, is currently in use in up to 10 African countries as well as the Diaspora.
The app was designed for users to stream music from their favorite artists as well as DJ mixes. The app users are able to follow their favorite artists and playlists for updates and new releases.
“ We’ve been very impressed about the popularity of our android app since we launched it last year. Our users like the offline functionality and the ability to engage and share music with Facebook friends. We are streaming millions of o songs every month and even though our website is still bigger than our app we do see a shift towards the app. We constantly update and improve our app to deliver a unique music experience to our customers and we are very happy that so many people like and install our app – this is a great milestone for us and African music.” – Mdundo CEO, Martin Nielsen
